Clubs & Activities

Our extra-curricular activities provide a creative outlet for
children’s enthusiasms and interests. Many of our clubs were
instigated by the children themselves and we always try our best to
provide a club if the demand is there. Children can choose from a
long
list of clubs which help to build confidence and
foster a sense of achievement.
The Dawn Chorus Club runs from 8:00-8:45
daily at Danesfield Manor School for pupils from Reception to Year
6. During the Dawn Chorus Club children take part in games,
complete homework and eat breakfast snacks they have brought in
from home. The session ends with outside play or joint groups
activities. Staff who run the club are all CRB checked and are well
known to the children in Danesfield Manor School.
Details of our clubs are given to new parents
in their welcome pack. If you would like further
information on the school clubs please contact us.
We believe children learn best in a variety of settings, inside
and outside the classroom. Every
year group has at least one trip or visit per
term to a venue which supports their learning
e.g. the National Gallery and the Science Museum. We also invite
groups into school to deliver exciting workshops to enrich learning
e.g. the Young Shakespeare Company.
