Schools are fun places to be. Schools offer children a welcoming environment, one where they are safe to make mistakes and learn from them, where they can take on challenges and know they will be supported, where people care for them and develop not only their academic ability but also creative, physical, social and moral education.

It is our intention to ensure that the children in our care receive an education that combines traditional learning with a modern curriculum. We believe that the ‘hidden’ curriculum – the implicit teaching within the environment that develops a child’s confidence and self-esteem – is vital. Our children take on responsibility in the school environment, becoming organised, independent and self-motivated, and prepare themselves for the next step in their education.

It is a privilege to work with children and a huge responsibility which all of us at Danesfield Manor take very seriously. We are serious about the fun our school should offer its children, and this makes our school a happy place to be.
