Mathematics is taught using a wide variety of apparatus. Children are given plenty of practical experience, especially in the early years, to enable them to develop the skills and understanding necessary to handle mathematical data with confidence and enthusiasm.

Children are grouped by ability within the class for mathematics and the work is differentiated accordingly.
