Children are admitted into Reception in the September after their fourth birthday as full-time pupils. 20 places are available each year. Observations take place prior to entry the following criteria are used:
Families will be given one week to accept the offer and return the Acceptance Agreement together with the Deposit Fee. If places are not accepted, we will move down the list of registrations and offer the place to parents whose children who are not attending Pre-School.
Early Years Free Entitlement (EYFE) *(applicable to Pre-School only for up to 36 weeks ((Term Time)):
Early Years Free Entitlement is available to all children from the term after their third birthday until they reach statutory school age (the term after they are five). However, a child is no longer eligible for Early Year Free Entitlement, if they attend a maintained nursery before statutory school age as funding cannot be claimed from both the maintained sectors.
If eligible for Early Years Free Entitlement your child is entitled to six free sessions of 2.5 hours (15 hours a week) or five afternoon free sessions of 3 hours (15 hours a week) for up to 36 weeks.
We are not delivering the 30 hours+ EYFS funding.
Places may be available in other year groups and parents are advised to contact the school to ascertain the situation. The children are invited to spend the day with a class within their current year group. Places are offered in Reception to Year 6 on a date of registration basis, using the same priorities as above.
We are a non-selective school, however, each child must attend an informal visit day before an offer of a place is sent to the parents.
