Early Years Funding and Important Information:
We offer funded places in line with government schemes for eligible families, including:
- 15 hours free childcare for all 3- & 4-year-olds. The 15 hours Universal Early Years Funding is available to all children from the term after their third birthday up until the term in which they turn 5 years old.
- 30 hours free childcare for eligible working families
- Funded places for eligible 2-year-olds
Government funding covers early education and childcare hours only. These funded hours are provided at no cost, and no additional charges are applied to the funded childcare hours themselves.
At the start of every term parents or legal guardians of 3 and 4 year old pupils will be sent an automated email from our Funding Loop portal requesting a signature and completion of the pre-loaded Surrey County Council Declaration Form. Parents or legal guardians will also be required to upload a photo of their child's passport or birth certificate as proof of date of birth.
Once completed the School Office will upload the Declaration onto the Surrey County Council portal in order to receive the funding.
Additional charges may apply for meals, extra‑curricular items or activities (such as nappies and wipes), and any additional sessions or extended hours taken outside of the funded entitlement.
If you are eligible for funded hours, please ensure you provide your eligibility code and complete all required documentation in good time, so that funding can be applied correctly to your invoice.
Government funding is typically delivered over 38 weeks per year (term time). If you choose to access childcare on a stretched (all year round) basis, funded hours are spread across 51 weeks as follows:
- 30 hours funding is equivalent to 22.35 hours per week
- 15 hours funding is equivalent to 11.18 hours per week
Funded hours will be applied in line with your agreed attendance pattern and local authority guidance.
(Please refer to the Entitlement Statement on our website for further information.)
